Common Blue
Found in open habitats throughout Britain from May to September,
this is the most familiar of the British blue butterflies.
Male butterfly wings are bright blue with a hint of violet whist
the females are predominantly brown with flush of blue,
edged with orange spots. Â Caterpillars feed on bird's foot trefoil .
