Adonis Blue
This is a rare beauty found in a limited number of chalk and limestone
sties in the south of England. Only the male has the intense, metallic
turquoise wings. the female has chocolate brown wings edged with
orange markings. Â Flight seasons are May and June, then a later brood
in August to September. Caterpillars feed on Horseshoe Vetch.
