Orange Tip
This is one of the earliest butterflies to emerge in spring.
From April to June, the orange tip is a welcome sight throughout
most of Britain.  Its favourite habitat is damp, flower rich meadows
where caterpillars feed on Lady's Smock and Garlic Mustard.
Only the male butterfly has the distinctive orange tips on the edge
of its wings whilst the female's wings are edged with black.
