BB 04 CHALKHILL BLUE

In favourable years this butterfly can be found in vast numbers on
the flower rich, chalk downlands of mid south and south east England.
Males have pale blue, silvery wings and females are rich brown in
colour, edged with orange spots. Butterflies can be seen from July
to mid-September. Caterpillars feed on horseshoe vetch.Â
